Shortly after Airtel and Vodafone have started offering unlimited calls and free 4G internet data for everyday use, BSNL is now offering plans similar to that and has made the plans live at the time of writing this post.

Starting today, users can activate these plans to enjoy unlimited calls and free 2G or 3G internet data every day. The free data is provided for upto 2GB per day, based on the plans.

BSNL does not offer 4G services in India yet.

The two new plans are:

  • Rs 99 or Rs 149 recharge for unlimited on-net calls and free off-net calls in the same LSA for upto 20 minutes per day. No caps on the on-net calls though. 500MB of data per day for free.
  • Rs 339 – Unlimited on-net and off-net calls daily and 2GB of 2G or 3G data for free every day.

It is interesting to note that BSNL is offering extra talktime and extra internet data plans as a part of the Holi celebrations too, but these end by March 17.

Such kinds of plans have been appearing in the wild since Jio announced the fact that they have over 100 million customers in India now. The telecom price wars have improved a lot for customers in the recent days with the happening of Jio and Jio Prime plans. What network are you on and how much do you pay?
