Airtel is now offering free bonus internet for all postpaid customers in India, in a bid to regain consumer’s interest amidst Jio’s growth. In a recent announcement, Jio announced that they have over 100 million customers in India, and the growth has tremendously slowed down Airtel’s numbers and consumbers from all major players including Vodafone and Idea have been drifting off to Jio.
While Airtel tried offering prepaid customers huge offers, the chase has been unfruitful and with postpaid offers launching today, India’s leading player may gain the upper hand and not lose customers. Starting today, postpaid users are eligible to get upto 30GB of 4G data, 10GB of data every month for free, for 3 months.
The offer is open to all the postpaid users in India and can be redeemed on the MyAirtel mobile app.
To claim the offer, launch the app and tap on the banner shown at the top there. Enabling the offer gives users free data of 10-30GB every month which can be used without day-night limitations or daily limitations. One can choose to burn the whole lot in a single go or use through the month.
It is important to note that prepaid users get 1GB per day, but have a few limitations with respect to usage – 500MB is set for the day and 500MB is set for night use (3am-5am).
Note, 10GB a month.
Users will be getting 10GB of 4G data credited to their account every month for 3 months, post which the offer will be void and the users will not be given the bonus free data. The offer is open to all postpaid users at the time of writing this post.
